Kelly Hensley has over a decade of experience in Civil Litigation. Kelly's areas of practice include consumer financial litigation, employment law, and civil rights. Kelly worked as an attorney for the Dallas based law firm of Strasburger & Price, LLP, before returning to her hometown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Kelly earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University in 2005. Kelly also earned a Certificate in European Legal Studies in 2005. Kelly earned a certificate in Comparative Constitutional law at the Tulane Summer Study Abroad program at Trinity College in Cambridge, England.
Kelly is a student of the Constitution, which is what motivated her to pursue a career in the law. She has been involved in lawsuits brought under 42 U.S.C. section 1983 for the deprivation of civil rights. A cause dear to Kelly's heart is advocating for the wrongfully accused, convicted, and those who are victims of police misconduct and brutality. Kelly herself was a victim of police misconduct, so she knows how frightening it is to have your Fourth Amendment rights violated, the devastation brought by false accusations, even when they are immediately dismissed, and the lifelong impact it has on that individual.
Active in the community, Kelly served on the Executive Board of Directors of the Miracle League of Frisco from September 2013 through February 2016. Kelly has also volunteered her time coaching Soccer, Baseball, and Track for the Miracle League.
Kelly is an avid runner and participates in marathons and half marathons that benefit the community. Kelly enjoys travelling to different cities to participate in marathons. The San Francisco Marathon is one of her favorites. Kelly also enjoys boxing, and the challenge it provides. Kelly currently lives in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with her French Bulldog, Bruce, who is a rescue from Hungary.
